BAF APRIL MEETING

Bit of a change for the April meeting.. but it’s all GOOD…  no… VERY GOOD!!!

We are looking forward to seeing Club members at the April meeting on Monday (30th April). There has been a bit of a change of plan regarding our guest speaker at the meeting. Squadron Leader Mike Ling has been called back to the Red Arrows Display Team as Red 3 whilst Flt Lt David Stark recovers from his injuries following the recent accident. As you can appreciate, he therefore has other pressing commitments, and is unable to travel to Bournemouth next week. We wish him and the rest of the The Reds a very safe, happy & successful display season… and can’t wait to see them at the Bournemouth Air Festival this summer for 3 days of flying!

So…. stepping into the breach we are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming flying ace Brendan O’Brien!

Brendan first displayed at the Bournemouth Air Festival in 2011 in his Piper Cub aircraft as part of the Night Air dusk entertainment. He has been back every year since and most recently showcased the incredible Otto the Helicopter complete with spectacular pyrotechnic effects!

A renowned aviator and air show commentator, Brendan is one of the most experienced pilots in the air show industry – with over thirteen thousand hours on over three hundred plus types of aircraft…he holds a licence to fly every kind of flying machine!

Brendan also holds in excess of two hundred aviation world records ratified by the FAI in Paris. He is a CAA display authorisation holder/examiner, test pilot and medalist of the Royal Aero Club and has flown on every continent in the world including Antarctica.
